What is it about butterflies and light pink with a little distressed edging that sets my heart a-flutter? There is something so romantic about this image *sigh*...
On Friday afternoon, I got together with my friend, Shirley to stamp & catch up (what a great FAC - Friday Afternoon Club). She has these lovely Anna Griffin stamps that are just so romantic. I had picked up a couple of watercolor Artist Trading Cards (ATC) to play with... This is one of the little images I made with Shirley's stamps & watercolor wash.
I couldn't resist the image for a greeting card. The card layout is based on the Weekend Sketch Challenge (WSC91). I just love Beate's cards - always so beautiful and inspiring.
So, I layered some paper, stamped the image, notched the corners, added a little bit of distressing ink, cut some ribbon, glued on a few pearls and and topped it all of with a beautiful butterfly rub-on.
Here is the final card. What do you think? I love the shades of the background stamp - darker to lighter and a great color match with the sepia rub-on. If only I had a little lace...
