More Notebooks and a Sneak Peek

I posted these notebooks last week and have a few more to show you.  I love this notebook and I love this nautical paper from the Summer Mini Catalog too.  I used Not Quite Navy with the DSP and the stamp set from Word Play.  My favorite touch is the bit of Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine tied through the grommets.

I love how crisp and sharp the image is.

This paper is now retired but looks great with Have a Seat.  The paper was a great find in the Clearance Rack which really helps out with profits when doing craft shows.  The twine was another great piece for this notebook.  I used Take Note from Notably Ornate for the tags.

I've used nearly all of the paper from Greenhouse Gala but found a piece just large enough.

This paper is also retired...I used the sentiment from Sense of Time for this one.

Last but not leat a little bit of Botanical Gazette with Nature Walk.  I stamped the bird in Early Espresso on Vellum paper.  Then, I cut it out and applied it to the notebook with a little bit of Crystal Effects.  The flower is a Paper Daisy that I colored with a touch of water and Red Riding Hood Ink.

Flower Power Notebooks - Summer Mini Sneak Peek

Bright. Bold. Beautiful!

WHOW!!!  Can you believe these colors?

I know you can't really tell from the picture but the Wild Wasabi green and Melon Mambo are embossed!!! Yup - new embossing powder in three great colors!

This sentiment is from sense of time, but the other sentiment is included in the set.

These look like cards, but in fact, they are notebooks. 

I had a bunch of Jr. Legal Pads and brought them to Kinko's to get them cut in half.  They cut them in half, the wrong way!  Rather than tossing them, I thought I'd make a 'double notebook'.  When you open the notebook, there is a notepad on each side.  Kind of handy for the 'to do' and 'to get' lists.

They are approximately 4.25 x 5 when closed so you can get two per sheet of card stock.  

Did I mention I love how bright, bold and beautiful these colors are for summer - LOL - :-D  The paper makes me smile just looking at them.

Strength & Hope Note Pads

As I'm working on my craft fair items, I thought it would be nice to use some sentiments on these 4x6 Acrylic Frame post-it note holders.  While I won't bore you with pictures of all 2 or 3 dozen frames, I thought I'd show you this preview of Hope & Strength and Four Frames which is available with the Summer Mini Catalog (May 1).

I used Four Frames for the background in Blushing Bride, then punched out Hope with the 1-1/4" Circle punch and a 1-3/8" circle of Blushing Bride.  I layered these on and behind the Designer Label punch. 

For this, I stamped the base image in Pink Pirouette then stamped over the image with Chocolate Chip.  Both images are from Hope & Strength.

The butterflies are from Beautiful Wings embosslits.

I'm in love with this paper.   I used the new Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper (DSP) with Botanical Gazette DSP (Occasions Mini Catalog) and the colors work together beautifully! 

The butterfly stamp is from the new Hope & Strength set (available May 1 - that seems so far away!) and is in the new Summer Mini Catalog - I received the catalog a few weeks ago and already have my wish list put together!

I added a flower from the Pretties Kit (now Paper Daisies) and a couple of embosslits butterflies.  Lastly, the 3/8" taffeta ribbon and a button from Button Latte (available in the Clearance Rack).

I started this card with the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, but it just wasn't working for me, so I'll try to use that sketch later this week instead.

More Lip Balm Holders

As I'm getting ready for a craft show, I'll show you some of the things that I'm making.  I started out with these Lip Balm Holders.  I was able to find some lip balm on sale and made about 2 dozen in different syles. 

Here's an example with the Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper that will be avialable April 1.  That's less than two weeks away!  And the Punch Bunch from Sale-a-bration.  What a versatile stamp set!

The ribbon is retired and was on sale in the Clearance Rack.  If you haven't been there, be sure to check it out.  Great deals pop up on embellishments, designer paper, and even dies.

I'm also working on a bunch of top-not purses.  I'll show you a couple of those later this week.  Right now, I'm off to run my weekly errands and pick up some supplies :-)

Another Peak

While I should be showing you the cute and easy project I made with free Ice Cream Parlour Designer Series Paper (thanks to Sale-a-bration!), I got busy playing with some new tools and browsing the new Summer Mini Catalog! 

One of the great perks about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is the early access to catalogs, ability to pre-order items, and of course all of the great resources like the Success Magazine and Stampin' Connection on-line videos, samples, and discussions.

But, I wanted to show you something for today, so I put this quick card together using the new Paisley Petals DSP and Four Frames stamp set (available April 1st with a $20.00 order).

The card is 5-1/4" x 5-1/4" in River Rock with Not Quite Navy, Basic Gray & Baja Breeze.  I made the flower with Build a Blossom and the Blossom Petals punch.  Got to love those Basic Pearls for the center!

Once I figure out my new video editing software, I'll have a quick video for you too!

Four Frames Sneak Peak & SSSC108

Have you noticed a complete lack of St. Patrick's Day cards on my blog?  It's such a fun holiday but I just don't have anyone to send a St. Patty's Day card too.  Hopefully this will work as my green contribution :-) 

• I started with the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge (SSSC108) for this card. 

• I cut a case at 5-1/4" x 5-1/4" (to fit the 5-1/2" square envelope).

• Then layered some new Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper on top.

• Next, I cut a Scallop Circle with the Big Shot and the layering circle with the 3-1/2" die.

• Then, I added a little Chocolate Chip 3/8" taffeta ribbon (retired) and a coordinating punched butterfly.

A couple of flowers from the Itty Bitty punch set and of course some Basic Pearls finish it off.

Becase of the dark base, I decided to decorated the inside a little bit too. 

The stamped image is from the new Four Frames stamp set that will be in the new Idea Book & Catalog by can be yours as early as April with a $20.00 Stampin' Up! order.  And, you can order the paper early too!

Sneak Peek Paisley Petals

I love the paper with Early Espresso and Cherry Cobbler in this 3x3 Scallop Square Easel card.  It's a little early for Mother's Day, but I thought it would make a great Mother's Day gift.

The Petal Cone is a similar design to this project (in Springtime Vintage DSP).

Happy Easter Egg Hybrid (PPA84)

The challenge over at Pals Paper Arts this week is Inspiration Easter/Spring (PPA84).  We have a couple of days with warm weather which definitely enhances the mood!  I wish I was digging in my garden...  Instead, I'll play in my craft room and make some Easter projects :-)

Can you tell this is a Hybrid card (i.e. made with My Digital Studio and traditional paper crafting elements)?

• I printed the supersized egg and sentiment using Easter Blossoms and My Digital Studio.

• I cut the egg, layered it on some Hope & Strength Designer Series Paper (available May 1).

• Then, I created the flower with some bits & pieces from Fun Flowers, Baskets & Blooms dies and the Pretties Kit (now Paper Daisies).

• It seems like every time I open the Occasions Mini Catalog, I find something new.  On page 18, you'll find this Champagne Glass Glitter.

Tip: Put a little bit of Crystal Effects on the project, sprinkle with glitter and allow to dry.  The Crystal Effects becomes like cement and the glitter stays put.

I love that the glitter is 'chunkier' and doesn't seem to stick to everything but still gives some sparkle.  It also comes in Baja Breeze and Silver.  I just might have to get some more...

Strength & Hope Sneak Peek Hybrid

So many of us have lost a loved one to breast cancer or we have had a close friend or family member face cancer and survive.  

My grandmother died from breast cancer when my father was only eleven.  His sister passed away over 10 years ago leaving a husband, wonderful daughter and son.

It is difficult to express the loss and the hope.  And yet, this new stamp set, Strenght and Hope helps to do just that.

Available May1 in both rubber stamp and in My Digital Studio (more details soon to come).

I used My Digital Studio to create the desired size, changed the color to Early Espresso, edged the sentiment in Early Espresso with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch and embellished with brads and 3/8" grosgrain ribbon.
